META Design

Material source:

Dome construction project, waste from renovation of Farglory headquarters

Material features:

The table is made of large sleepers that were used during the construction of the dome. The sleepers were wood that was discarded after a single use as part of a support structure below the roof as it was being lifted.

The base of the table is made of sleepers of similar width, cut to similar dimensions, and paired with discarded rebar to support the glass tabletop, resulting in a piece of furniture that combines both style and functionality.
The nails in the transparent storage box at the center of the tabletop serve as a memorial. They were removed from the formwork that was used during the renovation of the 16th floor and recycled.
