Waste from renovation of Farglory headquarters, ordinary residential project
Material features:
Different pieces of stone discarded during the renovation of each floor were collected and combined with wood discarded at a construction site to create this table, a high-quality piece of recycled furniture that was the result of a first-time collaboration between Farglory, META, and Saiens.
The tabletop is made of an engineered quartz that came from granite that was discarded during the renovation of Farglory headquarters, recycled, and then pressed and shaped by Saiens’ unique mold.
The pattern of the table top and the size of the gravel were all designed in advance by META, subverting the stereotypical image of recycled furniture with the elegance of the look.
The structure of the table was built using mortise and tenon joints, making for a smooth combination of reclaimed stone and discarded wood from a construction site.
