If you walk onto a construction site with the META Design team, you’ll surely wonder: why pick up these things? The scrap welding rods, washers, rebar protection caps, rusted binding wires... These seemingly useless, scattered leftovers from the site become the starting point for creativity in the hands of META Design.
In the experimental phase of the Jobsite Plan 1.0, META Design created a feature wall for Farglory Land’s lobby. The artwork, resembling a bird's-eye view of a city, is made up of 600 squares, each one covered with different recycled materials. META Design sees these discarded materials or the leftover pieces as fragments of different personalities. They’re arranged together in a grid, symbolizing how individuals form families, families form communities, and communities eventually build a city.
Through this piece, META Design offers a new perspective on construction: it’s not just about building structures; it’s about how people coexist and how we imagine the shape of a city, aligning with Farglory Land’s core values of "sustainability" and "sharing."
If you have the chance to visit the site, take a moment to closely examine the materials pieced together on the wall and see how these forgotten fragments have found a new place here.
