To strengthen corporate–academic communication and advance the vision of sustainability and a circular economy, Farglory welcomed a group of third-year students from the Department of Architecture at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), led by Professor Liao Chu-Tsen, on October 16, 2025. The visit showcased the company’s practical achievements in transforming construction waste into valuable resources—“turning waste into treasure.”
Since 2020, Farglory Construction has been dedicated to converting construction waste generated on-site into reusable materials. By collaborating with craft and creative design teams, the company has further upcycled these materials into furniture and architectural components. Through this process, discarded materials are given new life across different spatial environments, reducing the environmental impact of construction waste while demonstrating Farglory’s concrete actions toward sustainable design and a circular economy.
During the visit, students gained firsthand understanding of the challenges associated with construction waste management and its environmental consequences. They also learned how Farglory integrates recycling, research, remanufacturing, and creative design to realize the concept of furniture works made from recycled materials. This immersive experience allowed students to witness how waste can achieve a “second life,” inspiring deeper reflection on how architectural education can align more closely with sustainable practice.
Looking ahead, Farglory Construction will continue to promote low-carbon transformation and circular utilization, while fostering collaboration with academia. Through continuous dialogue and partnership, the company aims to cultivate young architectural talents with a sustainability mindset—ensuring that architecture is not merely about spatial design, but also about creating spaces with warmth and meaning.
