A Sustainability Renaissance

Pieces of stone removed during the renovation of the stairwells on each floor along with formwork, iron parts and aluminum materials from construction sites were collected to make the item. It is an extension of the design concept used for the table and chairs in the same conference room.

The pieces of stone removed during the renovation of the stairwell of each floor and solid wood panels from construction sites were collected, remade into this table, and then coated with natural German varnish.

Iron tubes that supported formwork at construction sites were recycled and used to create the light fixture; the form of the tubes also served as the inspiration.

The chair was made from construction site formwork and debris netting that were recycled, and then coated with natural German varnish.

Materials such as construction site scraps and protection foam for door frames were recycled and reassembled into the chair, which was then coated with natural German varnish. This is the first time that the META team attempted to build recycled furniture using foam.

Different stones were collected from various construction sites, then cut and assembled.
